Blessing My
Grandchildren

I call heaven and earth to witness this day against you that I have set before you life and death, the blessings and the curses; therefore choose life, that you and your descendants may live.
Deuteronomy 30: 19 AMP
I do not have grandchildren; but I do think about the possibility. Not that I am in a rush to be a grandmother (my oldest son is just 17 and my daughter is 14!!) and my children will be married before they have children. However, I am aware that the choices I make today will affect not only my life, but the lives of my children and my children's children.
I am determined to choose life and blessings on a daily basis. Every action I take, every word I speak, and every plan I make will produce something and set in motion an inheritance for those who come after me. Yes, EVERYthing I say or do will either set in motion blessings or curses for my grandchildren.
I often hear people say that they want to make an impact in this world. Well, we all will make an impact, whether we intend to or not. Everyday, we make choices that will lead us closer to God and compliment our walk with Him or pull us away from God and the path of righteousness; choices that confirm our identity as Christians or cause people to wonder if we really are who we claim to be; choices that bless our grandchildren or set them up for bloodline curses. Yes, we will all make an impact on this world. What kind of impact we make will be determined by the choices we make each day ... and by putting an end to the generational curses that are already attached to our family lines (we do this by repenting of our own sins, repenting of our forefather's sins, and applying the blood of Jesus).
No, I do not have grandchildren (yet); but everyday I seek to choose blessings that my grandchildren my live and reap a harvest of blessings.
