The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men to see if there were any who understood, delt wisely, and sought after God, inquiring for and of Him and requiring Him [of vital necessity].
Psalm 14:2 amp
Hardly a day goes by without hearing a song about looking for God or hearing someone say that have been missing their "time with God". Most of the time we are looking for God to help us, heal us, deliver us, prosper us, or vindicate us. As much as we might hate to admit it, most of our prayer time (when we pray) is asking God to do something for us. And when we pray for Him to do something (now!) are we really praying in faith or are we just "wishing" and "hoping" for a good outcome? And while He does love to do things for us, Psalm 14:2 is a reminder that God is wanting to be more than a genie to us.
God is looking. He is looking for someone who is looking for Him because of who He is ... not just for what He can do. God is looking for someone who wants to spend time with Him ... not as a "thing" to do because we need something, but because we need Him. God is looking for someone, anyone, who will seek Him as if their very life depended upon Him ... not because of what He can provide for us, but because we are vitally connected to Him. He is looking for someone who understands who He is and who they can be with Him.
Determine today to be the one that God finds when He looks for someone who is earnestly looking for Him.
